Buddy Bears: are small stuffed bears, ABATE Chapters can purchase and then distribute to emergency first-responders like EMT's, Fire Departments etc. In the event of a traumatic incident or accident involving a child, emergency responders will give one of these bears to the child. It has been proven in times of crisis that such an item will help take the child's mind off the event and focus on something else.
A.B.A.T.E. University: an annual opportunity to focus on the educational
needs of the members of A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota and offers training seminars focused on officer positions to familiarize chapter officers with the expectations and details of the responsibilities required for their positions. Other workshops with topics of interest will be provided as well. An opportunity will be provided for communication with the entire Executive Committee, Chapter Officers, and all other members at large. All Seminars and workshops are free unless specified. |
